QD Mini LED QM6K is on Sale!
TCL introduced a very ambitious series at the CES 2025 event and this series is already on sale! The QM6K series, which comes with Quantum Dot Mini LED technology, promises better performance than OLED. This series is TCL’s first precision dimming product series. TCL claims to improve backlight performance by 86% with the Halo Control System used. Of course, this is TCL’s own claim for now.
Available in 50, 55, 65, 65, 75, 85 and 98-inch models, the entire series features a FullView 360 frameless design, while the 85 and 98-inch models come with an additional matte finish. In addition to display technologies such as Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, FreeSync Premium Pro, 144 Hz, 288 VRR, it also includes audio features such as 40W, 2.1 channel Onkyo audio system and Dolby Atmos. This model, which is currently on sale in the US with prices ranging from $ 749 to $ 3499, is likely to be available worldwide in the coming months.
TCL aims to be a pioneer in QD Mini LED technology with these models, and the feature it relies on most here is the ‘Zero-Lag Transition Response’ feature, which it says improves fast transitions between bright and dark scenes. It claims to be able to do this thanks to its Super High Energy LED Chip, which can manage up to 500 local dimming zones. Although the problems of OLED televisions such as logo burn-in have been eliminated to a certain extent with new developments recently, OLEDs are still very expensive in terms of continuous and enjoyable use. If TCL can offer the quality promised in the QD Mini Led series, we can count all the disadvantages we have said for OLED as advantages for these products.
